CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an
Electrical Engineering Designer I to join our
Generation & Energy Management Team in
Hartford, CT; Albany, NY; or St. Catharine's, Ontario. In this role, you'll support the design and development of electrical systems that power manufacturing and advanced technology facilities-contributing to solutions that enhance operational performance, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability.
What You'll Do:- Produce and revise simple engineering drawings and sketches for electrical substation and transmission design projects under the guidance of senior designers or engineers, following established technical standards
- Examine drawings for accuracy and quality with support from senior team members
- Participate in project review meetings and accompany senior staff on field assignments when appropriate
- Utilize drawing production software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to develop construction documents
- Assist with contract document preparation to build familiarity with electrical design standards, codes, and best practices supporting energy-intensive and technology-driven facilities
What You Bring:- Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or a related technical field required
- No prior experience required-related document production experience preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and a willingness to learn about respective engineering discipline

Salary Range:$31.25 - $36.05 USD
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
