Low Voltage Conduit Tech

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Low Voltage Conduit Tech to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a hands-on career in technology installation and electrical support, focusing on low-voltage systems and conduit installation. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working under the guidance of experienced technicians, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in commercial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage cabling systems, including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables.
• Install, bend, and secure conduit (EMT preferred) in commercial environments.
• Assist with pulling cables through conduit and designated pathways.
• Support the setup of audio, video, and data equipment for commercial clients.
• Prepare materials, tools, and job sites to ensure efficient workflow.
• Read and follow project plans, layouts, and blueprints accurately.
• Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and company guidelines.
• Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in or basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, low-voltage systems, and conduit installation.
• Previous experience installing or bending conduit (EMT preferred) is a plus.
• Ability to work in diverse commercial environments, including construction and renovation sites.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and conduit bending tools.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training for cable installation, conduit work, and safety practices.
• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
