Data Integrations Developer

Integrations and Data Migration Developer position in a large, complex local government organization. This position is within the Information Technology Department for the purpose of assisting in implementing a complex, large-scale application.

The candidate will work alongside a diverse team of software developers, business analysts and an IT Manager, supporting a software implementation project for the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO).

This includes:

• Data analysis

• Data clean up

• Data migration

• Integrations development

• Working directly with the customer and software vendor throughout the project lifecycle

The emphasis of the work is on understanding business processes and requirements to provide the best solution through implementation of a vendor package.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience with proven track record delivering complex IT software projects

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset

• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server development

• Strong understanding of Data modeling and database architecture

• Hands-on experience using ETL tools and data integration platforms

• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and JSON/XML

• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) – plus

Work Duties May Include

• Design and implement data migration processes

• Develop and optimize ETL processes (extract, transform, load)

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout migration lifecycle

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and validate data mappings

• Troubleshoot migration issues (performance tuning, error handling)

• Document technical specifications and migration plans

• Develop, test, and maintain integration components

• Collaborate with software vendor and stakeholders

• Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues

• Document integration tools and technologies

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Seven (7) years of experience in database development or software development required.

Additional related work experience may substitute for required college education on a year-for-year basis.
