We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) Consultant with strong SD integration experience and a proven track record delivering Aerospace & Defense (A&D) programs. The consultant will lead the implementation of industry-standard SAP S/4HANA Project System capabilities for both direct and indirect projects, enabling project-based billing, revenue recognition, earned value management, and compliant project financials
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SAP S/4HANA Project System (PS) using standard, industry-aligned configuration.
- Configure PS for direct and indirect projects, including compliant WBS structures and project lifecycle management.
- Integrate PS with SD Contracts to support:
- Project-based billing
- Revenue recognition
- Configure PS to enable Earned Value Management (EVM) in compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Enable and manage project-owned inventory within S/4HANA.
- Configure PS validations to enforce compliant WBS structures and accurate activity capture.
- Set up WBS elements as cost collectors to support:
- Overhead application
- Labor, material, ODC, and subcontracting costs via G/L postings
- Configure PS-based Results Analysis for revenue recognition.
- Activate PMMO and configure grouped WBS elements to align shared inventory and maximize economies of scale.
- Collaborate closely with SD, FI/CO, MM, and program finance teams.
- Support testing, data validation, cutover, and hypercare activities.
Required Qualifications
- ship is mandatory
- 10+ years of SAP implementation experience
- Hands-on delivery of SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementations leveraging SAP best practices is required
- Aerospace & Defense manufacturing experience is preferred, but Engineer to Order project experience will suffice
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS)
- Proven experience integrating PS with SAP SD contracts
- Expertise in project-based billing, revenue recognition, and EVM
- Experience with WBS design, validations, and cost collection
- Solid understanding of PS-FI/CO-SD integration
- Excellent stakeholder communication and solution design skills
