Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in medium-voltage power systems and industrial facility design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EPC and plant engineering environments, supporting large-scale industrial, process plant, power generation, and oil & gas projects.

This role requires hands-on experience in electrical system design, power studies, detailed engineering, procurement support, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Required Qualifications

• BS / BE / B.Tech / ME in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong background in Plant Engineering, EPC, Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Energy projects
• Experience with medium-voltage facility electrical design (5kV–35kV)

Electrical Design & Engineering

• Develop, review, and approve medium-voltage electrical system designs including:
  • Switchgear panels
  • MCCs
  • Relay panels
  • Bus ducts

• Prepare engineering deliverables including:
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
  • Protection & Metering SLDs
  • Schematic Wiring Diagrams
  • Interconnection Diagrams
  • Cable Schedules
  • I/O Lists
  • SCADA/SAS Architectures

Power System Studies & Calculations

Perform and review:

• Load List & Feeder List preparation
• Cable sizing calculations
• Transformer sizing calculations
• CT/VT sizing calculations
• Relay coordination studies
• Earthing sizing calculations
• Tray loading calculations
• Lighting calculations
• Battery & UPS sizing
• Short circuit calculations
• Load flow studies
• Harmonic analysis
• Arc flash studies

Layout & Drafting

• Electrical equipment layouts
• Cable raceways
• Grounding & shielding systems
• Indoor & outdoor lighting layouts
• Transformer yards
• Switchgear rooms
• Hazardous area electrical layouts
• 2D CAD drafting & 3D electrical design
• Cable tray & duct routing
• Clash detection

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), BOQ, and MTOs
• Develop technical specifications for procurement
• Review vendor offers and prepare technical evaluation reports
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams

Project Execution

• Support all project phases:
  • Concept Design
  • FEED
  • Detailed Engineering
  • Procurement Support
  • Construction Support
• Deliver high-quality engineering outputs in fast-track project environments
• Handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
