Job Description:

We are seeking an SAP Data Migration Engineer with strong functional grounding in SAP FI and CO, complemented by cross-functional skills in PS, MM, and SD to support a dedicated carve-out project.

Since this migration takes place entirely within the same client and existing system landscape using custom ABAP programs, custom conversion logic, and standard/custom BAPIs, there are no external ETL tools being used. Consequently, the candidate must be an Advanced Excel Expert capable of handling heavy data extraction, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation purely through manual effort.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Migration: Manage manual extraction, mapping, transformation, and loading of historical and open data within the existing SAP landscape.
• Data Validation: Perform rigorous manual pre-load and post-load reconciliation to ensure financial balancing and data integrity.
• Custom Objects: Execute and troubleshoot data loads using custom ABAP migration programs and standard/custom BAPIs.
• Excel Engineering: Cleanse, audit, and manipulate large datasets manually using advanced Excel formulas and features.
• Stakeholder Management: Capture business feedback on data logic from customer-side stakeholders and play it back to the technical team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• SAP FI/CO: 3 5 years of strong operational knowledge in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center, and Internal Orders.
• SAP PS / MM / SD: Practical knowledge of Project Systems (WBS), Materials Management (Master Data, POs), and Sales & Distribution (Sales Orders).
• Excel Expertise: Advanced skills using formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables for large-scale manual data mapping and validation.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to work with custom ABAP programs, interpret BAPIs, and query standard SAP ECC tables for data verification.
• Communication: Experience presenting technical updates to business users and playing back feedback to other project team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Carve-out Experience: Prior experience supporting SAP carve-out, system splits, or data splits.
• Data Reconciliation: Experience manually linking and balancing logistics data (MM/SD) with financial data (FI/CO) using Excel
