Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Developer (Java) to join our team. The candidate will actively participate in detailed design sessions, engage in hands-on coding and testing, and collaborate closely with Users, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Development teams located in New York, California, and Chicago. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a global team environment.
Responsibilities: - Participate in detailed design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using J2EE.
- Build Java APIs to supply data to eTrade.com.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Users, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
- Mentor junior team members and drive innovation within the team.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications: - 10-15 years of experience in building server-side applications using J2EE.
- Excellent Java and Multithreading programming skills.
- Strong design skills, including experience with Design Patterns (GOF).
- Proficiency with MVC frameworks like Spring and web services (REST).
- Experience with Agile Methodology (Scrum).
- Proficient with databases, particularly DB2.
- Knowledge of Application Servers such as Tomcat and Websphere.
- Unix or Linux development and working knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with GIT, TeamCity, and IBM MQ.
- Knowledge of IBM UDB/DB2.
- UI skills such as JavaScript, AngularJS, React, and HTML5 (optional).
- Exposure to the financial industry.

Pay Range: $75 - $85
