Job Description
ONSITE in Austin, TX
Vertical Technical
Description
This individual contributor role will help lead to the verification strategy and hands-on validation of pixel pipeline designs, ensuring functional correctness, performance integrity, and architectural intent. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in GPU design verification, a deep understanding of fixed-function graphics pipelines, and a collaborative mindset that enables alignment across hardware design and software teams in parallel development cycles.
Contribute to and help lead verification strategy and execution for pixel processing stages by developing comprehensive verification plans, defining goals, coverage metrics, and sign-off criteria aligned with architectural specifications and product requirements.
Architect, implement, and maintain advanced verification environments with scalable testbenches using SystemVerilog, UVM, and C++, developing test code in parallel with RTL and applying constrained-random, coverage-driven, and assertion-based methodologies to validate complex fixed-function behavior.
Ensure functional and performance excellence by creating targeted test scenarios that stress pixel pipeline stages, including rasterization, interpolation, depth/stencil testing, blending, and other fixed-function units, covering corner cases, performance-sensitive paths, and real-world rendering workloads.
Drive complex debug and issue resolution by analyzing failures across pixel pipeline stages, identifying root causes, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with architectural intent and system-level behavior.
Advance best practices by maintaining technical documentation and staying ahead of emerging GPU and verification technologies.
Requirements
11+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 9+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 7+ years of experience with a Ph.D.
10+ years of hands-on experience in GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification In-depth understanding of computer architecture and graphics pipelines
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, PERL, or equivalent
Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, including constrained-random verification, functional coverage, and assertion-based methodologies
Experience with graphics APIs (e.g., Vulkan, OpenGL, GLES, DirectX), with the ability to translate real-world workloads into effective verification scenarios
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to identify bottlenecks, propose solutions and guide teams through implementation.
