Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade backend systems in an EMOS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot.
Build and maintain gRPC services using Protocol Buffers (protobuf).
Design and develop production-grade REST APIs.
Implement REST-to-gRPC integration using gRPC-Gateway, transcoding, or custom mapping layers.
Define and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI / Swagger.
Implement secure OAuth2 / JWT authentication and authorization.
Design data/domain models using protobuf, JSON Schema, or entity models.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Collaborate with EMOS, Software, Platform, QA, and Engineering teams.
Support scalable backend services throughout the development and production lifecycle.
Contribute to Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives when needed.

Required Skills

5+ years of Java backend development experience.
Strong hands-on Spring Boot experience.
Experience building gRPC services with Protocol Buffers.
Strong REST API development experience.
Hands-on REST-to-gRPC integration experience.
Knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger.
Experience with OAuth2 / JWT.
Strong data and domain modeling skills.
Experience building and supporting production-grade backend services.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
