We’re seeking a talented Backend Java Developer to join the team of our exceptional client. This role centers on building and enhancing backend services within a scalable AWS environment, with a strong emphasis on Java development and microservices architecture.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys contributing to system design, mentoring peers, and owning solutions from concept through production. This is a development-focused role—not infrastructure-heavy—and requires deep expertise in Java.

What will your day look like? As a Backend Java Developer, you will:
• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain APIs supporting a microservices ecosystem
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and best practices
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical growth
• Take ownership of features from requirements through deployment
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional team activities
• Develop and deploy applications within AWS environments
• Ensure system performance, security, and scalability
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after onboarding
You will be a good fit for this role if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
• Strong expertise in Java (critical requirement)
• Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot and Tomcat
• Proven experience building backend APIs and microservices
• Practical experience working in AWS (creating and managing resources)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles
• Experience with Agile development practices and peer code reviews
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
• Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools
• Exposure to serverless architecture and AWS managed services
• Working knowledge of Python
• AWS certifications
• Experience with system design and distributed architecture
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)
• Background working in large-scale cloud environments
