Summary:
The IT Network and Communications Manager will direct teams to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and staff by ensuring excellence in all aspects of network and telecommunications to include design, reliability, integrity, technical security, disaster recovery, and business continuance. Ensures appropriate staffing, develops and monitors performance, safety, quality and regulatory standards. Directs fiscal management, including forecasting and monitoring of operating and capital expenditures. Manages and establishes priorities for maintenance, design, development and analysis of entire network and communications systems. Manage projects for department and organization wide initiatives; identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of service; designs, supports, and manages maintenance of the organization’s data centers and communication closets.
Responsibilities:
Designs, plans, and coordinates project work efforts with various vendors, service providers, and organizational staff/departments for organizational initiatives, construction remodels, and organizational growth.
Reads and interprets service orders, maps, blueprints, diagrams, technical drawings (i.e., mechanical, electrical, digital), etc.
Manages Network Engineers and Communication Technicians and vendors through projects to ensure integrated systems services across applications and technologies.
Assists in budgeting and procures systems and services with organization wide impact.
Holds self and other individuals accountable for compliance with annual budget plan.
Provides responsibility and oversight over contract management.
Develops strategies, implements process and procedures for the IT network and communications infrastructure to maintain security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
Manages, coaches, and guides a team to optimize and improve reporting, security, and monitoring tools and systems.
