Fishkill, NY - Onsite Role
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide high-quality technical support to employees in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience supporting Windows-based desktops, laptops, applications, and peripherals.
The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technology issues, providing onsite and remote support, and ensuring a positive end-user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, desktop, laptop, and application issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating system and end-user technology issues.
- Support printers, monitors, peripherals, laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment.
- Research, diagnose, resolve, or appropriately escalate technical issues.
- Respond to support requests through multiple channels, including in-person, phone, chat, and remote support.
- Provide professional and customer-focused service to employees.
- Follow established IT procedures, processes, and documentation.
- Manage multiple support requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Keep users and stakeholders informed regarding issue status and resolution.
- Work effectively with business users and technical teams.
- Meet established service quality and performance expectations.
Required Skills:
- Experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, Service Desk, Help Desk, or End User Support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting
- Enterprise IT support experience
- Ticketing / IT Service Management tools
- Remote support tools
Important Details:
This is a 100% onsite position in Fishkill, NY. Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite 5 days per week.
