OverviewA major mission-critical construction project in Barker, NY is seeking an experienced
Structured Cabling / Low Voltage Project Manager to lead large-scale cabling initiatives within a high-demand environment. This site is part of one of the most important technology-advancement efforts in the U.S., requiring a leader capable of managing complex technical installations, supervising crews, and maintaining financial, safety, and quality standards.
This role is perfect for a hands-on PM who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys being
both in the field and in a leadership seat.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution- Lead the end-to-end delivery of structured cabling and low-voltage construction projects.
- Manage installation progress, field teams, schedules, materials, and equipment.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards, quality expectations, and customer requirements.
Team & Workforce Management- Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and manage project technicians and leads.
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Monitor workload distribution to ensure efficiency and deadline adherence.
Financial & Contract Oversight- Own project financials, including cost tracking, job postings, billing, and collections.
- Prepare financial reporting and updates for leadership and customer representatives.
- Support bid preparation, pricing, and proposals.
- Identify risks and build plans to mitigate them.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams, leadership, and field staff.
- Develop process improvements that enhance service delivery and project execution.
Required QualificationsTo ensure only

Experience- 5+ years in structured cabling, low voltage, telecommunications, or related construction fields
- 5+ years supervising or managing technical teams
- Experience delivering projects in:
- Manufacturing
- Semiconductor
- Heavy-industrial
- Commercial environments
- Verifiable experience with security systems, access control, and CCTV
Technical Skills- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation
- Proficiency with:
- MS Excel
- MS Project
- MS Teams
- MS Outlook
- Project management software
- Ability to use common trade tools: punch tools, crimp tools, OOM meters, continuity testers, etc.
- Ability to learn internal and customer project management systems
Soft Skills- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of professionalism and leadership
- Willingness to work long hours in a high-pressure environment
- Self-motivated and capable of driving results
Education & Requirements- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must meet driving standards
- Must be able to obtain a company-sponsored credit card
- Band drug test required
- Ability to travel within the local region as needed
Preferred ExperienceHands-on familiarity with systems such as:
Bosch G Series, ReadyKey Pro, GE/UTC Access, CCTV platforms, Software House, EST Fire Systems, and similar low-voltage system manufacturers.
