Job Duration: 18 months with possible ext
Description/Comment: (Responsibilities)

Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Database Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Database Engineering deliverables.
Review and analyze moderately complex Database Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Database Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with client personnel in Database Engineering.

Required Skills

4+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
3-7 years of experience supporting Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of:
- Oracle Database Administration
- Oracle SQL
- PL/SQL
- Query tuning
- Execution plans
- Performance diagnostics
Experience working with:
- AWR
- ASH
- SQL Tuning
- Optimizer behavior
- Statistics management
Experience developing automation solutions for database operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear operational recommendations.

Desired Skills

AI & Automation
Understanding of:
- MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Agentic AI architectures
- Agent-to-agent workflows
- Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Generative AI concepts
Familiarity with AI governance, explainability, and trusted data practices.

Oracle AI Experience

Experience with Oracle 23ai or Oracle 26ai capabilities.
Understanding of:
- Vector search
- AI-assisted SQL development
- Built-in AI services
- Machine learning features within Oracle

Programming & Software Engineering

Experience with Python, including:
- Data analysis
- API integration
- Workflow automation
- AI frameworks
Experience consuming REST APIs.
Familiarity with Git-based development workflows.
Knowledge of JSON, JSON processing, and structured data exchange.

Data Science & Machine Learning

Familiarity with:
- Predictive analytics
- Supervised learning
- Anomaly detection
- Feature engineering
- Model validation
Experience working with operational telemetry data is highly desirable.
