Hotel Engineering Technician - Painting FocusOverview:At Omni Hotels & Resorts, we believe every detail matters. As an Engineering Technician with a focus on painting, you will play a key role in maintaining the beauty and integrity of our property. Your craftsmanship ensures our guests experience the elegance and comfort that define the Omni brand.
Responsibilities:- Painting & Finishing Excellence
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and specialty finishes using professional techniques.
- Match colors and maintain consistency with Omni design standards.
- Perform touch-ups and repainting to keep guest areas pristine.
- Preventive Maintenance & Repairs
- Inspect painted surfaces regularly for wear and damage.
- Assist with minor wall and trim repairs prior to painting.
- General Maintenance Support
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as needed.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow Omni safety protocols and use proper PPE.
- Maintain compliance with local building and fire codes.
- Inventory & Equipment Management
- Track paint supplies and tools, ensuring proper storage and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialty finishes and materials.
Qualifications:- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation.
- Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of general maintenance tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in painting and maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
