Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP EPPM Consultant to lead the functional implementation of SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management capabilities in an SAP S/4HANA landscape. The consultant will be responsible for business process design, solution configuration, integration, and implementation delivery, working directly with client stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, business process workshops, fit-to-standard analysis, and fit-gap assessments for enterprise portfolio and project management.
• Design and implement SAP EPPM processes covering portfolio structures, project proposals, portfolio items, prioritization, evaluation, approvals, and governance, as applicable to the selected SAP solution.
• Configure and implement project and portfolio lifecycle processes aligned with the client's investment planning and project governance requirements.
• Design integration with SAP S/4HANA Project System (PS), Finance and Controlling, procurement, Asset Accounting, and other relevant modules.
• Support project planning, budgeting, cost planning, resource management, financial monitoring, forecasting, and project reporting, depending on the solution scope.
• Translate business requirements into functional designs, configuration documents, process flows, and specifications for custom developments.
• Collaborate with ABAP, SAP Fiori, integration, analytics, and data migration teams to deliver the end-to-end solution.
• Lead data migration planning, master data validation, configuration validation, and reconciliation.
• Prepare and execute functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing; manage implementation defects through resolution.
• Lead cutover planning, deployment readiness, go-live activities, and transition to business operations.
• Ensure solution alignment with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementation standards, and project governance.
• Serve as the senior functional lead for the EPPM workstream, facilitating design decisions and managing dependencies with other SAP workstreams.

Required Skills and Experience

• 18–20 years of overall SAP experience, with significant hands-on experience in SAP EPPM implementations.
• Proven experience implementing the relevant SAP EPPM solution in an SAP S/4HANA landscape.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise portfolio and project management processes, including project governance, investment prioritization, portfolio evaluation, and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating EPPM with SAP S/4HANA Project System, FI/CO, procurement, and other applicable modules.
• Experience with end-to-end implementation activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
• Strong client-facing communication, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently onsite at the client location in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations or large-scale transformation programs.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology and fit-to-standard workshops.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori, project financial management, portfolio analytics, and reporting.
• SAP certification in relevant modules is an advantage.
