Summary

Job Description Summary
Using business driven requirements, plans and designs enterprise systems supporting the Digital Workplace endpoint environment, including the evaluation and implementation of hardware and software products and engineers and tests technology solutions. Monitors the day-to-day performance of the infrastructure and works with project teams on the integration of new systems and workloads. Creates technical strategies and resolutions for complex problems, incidents, and outage situations. Primary focus will be towards the Endpoint Virtualization environment supporting a mix of on-premise and cloud desktops with both persistent and non-persistent virtual desktop workloads.

Job Description

This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.

Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own, manage and monitor Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments to ensure optimal performance and availability of both on-premise and W365 Cloud desktops
  • Ensure the health, performance, and resiliency of the virtual environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user and system issues related to Citrix infrastructure, escalating when necessary
  • Implement updates and patches to maintain system security and compliance with organizational standards Proactively identify and resolve systemic issues.
  • Maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Communicate changes to operations and support teams.
  • Prioritize Keeping the Lights On (KTLO), executing projects, and individual tasks.
  • Collaborate on project deliverables with team leads
  • Act as a technical resource for operations, audits, and peers.
  • Deliver and maintain systems and documentation.
  • Mentor and train support teams on technical tasks.

Knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of the following strongly preferred (depending on assigned area):
  • IP network design practices and principles with emphasis on end user compute
  • Citrix NetScaler configuration and administration
  • Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems.
  • Hardware configurations and components for desktops and servers.
  • Security best practices for client and server systems including Windows and macOS platforms.
  • System monitoring and event analysis.
  • Virtualization concepts and technologies including Citrix, VMware, and Application layering
  • Citrix Cloud, Azure VDI, Windows 365
  • Familiar with Storage Area Networks and Cloud storage solutions
  • Operating systems, management tools, 3rd party solutions, and hardware (desktops and servers)
  • including Windows and macOS.
  • Server/desktop image creation and related processes and procedures.
  • 3rd level support for resolution of compatibility and performance issues.
  • Server provisioning and monitoring using industry-leading management tools.
  • Automation with PowerShell on platforms such as SCORCH and Resolve
  • Experience with Enterprise/Secure Browser Technology, Island.io, Citrix, Talon, etc

Skill in:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix Virtualization. (i.e. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix Cloud.)
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Cloud Desktop as a Service experience with W365 or AVD
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term solutions.

  • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.
  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a
  • manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

  • consequences.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related
  • areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.
  • Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  • Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain
  • productive client relationships.
  • Work a non-traditional schedule including on-call hours on a frequent or rotating basis.

Preferred Certifications:
  • CISSP or ability to acquire in 6 months
  • Citrix CVAD and/or Citrix Networking
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or better

Education
Bachelor's: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor's: Information Technology, High School (HS) (Required)
