Senior Project Manager – Wealth Management Tech Strategy

Vaco is partnering with a national wealth management organization to hire a Senior Project Manager supporting advisor-facing technology initiatives. This is a highly visible role working directly with senior leadership to drive execution of a multi-year technology strategy across a complex, regulated environment.

This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and compliance. You will help translate strategic priorities into actionable programs, align stakeholders across multiple lines of business, and ensure delivery of scalable solutions that support advisors and their clients. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with multiple competing priorities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support execution of a multi-year advisor technology roadmap, translating strategy into structured programs and deliverables
• Coordinate initiatives across business, technology, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and impact
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, including requirements gathering, planning sessions, and stakeholder alignment
• Serve as a primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, providing updates, insights, and decision support
• Manage vendor relationships, including evaluations, contract coordination, and ongoing performance tracking
• Support data conversion, system integration, and platform implementation efforts
• Monitor program risks, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery
• Prepare executive-level materials, including status updates, reporting, and strategic insights
• Drive accountability across teams while maintaining visibility into progress and outcomes

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in project/program management, technology strategy, or business architecture roles
• Experience working in financial services, wealth management, or similarly regulated environments
• Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities
• Experience working cross-functionally with business, technology, and compliance stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence executive audiences
• Experience translating high-level strategy into actionable plans and deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with advisor technology platforms such as client portals, trading systems, compliance tools, or billing systems
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft 365, Confluence, Lucid, or Figma
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party platforms
• MBA or advanced degree
