Technical Product Manager (Early Stage) The Mission
We are a venture-backed B2B Insurtech startup reimagining the infrastructure of the life insurance and annuities industry. Our mission is to modernize how these products are built, distributed, and experienced.
As an early-stage hire, you will join a high-autonomy, high-velocity team. You'll have the unique advantage of "startup speed" combined with the market reach of a larger organization. This is a role for a detail-oriented builder who can pivot between high-level strategy and deep technical execution.
Your Impact
- Shape the Foundation: Partner with leadership to define the long-term product strategy and roadmap.
- Bridge the Technical Gap: Translate complex customer needs into crisp technical specs, including API design, data modeling, and automated workflows.
- Build & Prototype: Move fast by prototyping solutions using modern frameworks and AI-driven tools.
- Own the Lifecycle: Drive end-to-end delivery by managing scoping, trade-offs, QA, and launch alongside our engineering team.
- Scale the Ecosystem: Lead mission-critical integrations with carriers, BGAs, and third-party systems to ensure a reliable, scalable platform.
- Data-Driven Iteration: Define success through metrics; instrument usage tracking and iterate based on hard data.
What We're Looking For
- Technical Depth: You are comfortable discussing system architecture and API documentation; you don't just "manage" developers-you partner with them.
- Strategic Execution: You can maintain a "crisp" backlog while never losing sight of the big-picture business goals.
- Startup Mindset: You thrive in ambiguity, possess a self-starter attitude, and are excited by the prospect of "unlimited room for growth."
- Domain Interest: Experience in Insurtech, Fintech, or complex B2B SaaS is a significant plus, but a passion for solving legacy industry problems is a must.
Compensation & Perks
- Base Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 (Adjusted based on experience and location).
- Equity: Meaningful early-stage ownership stake.
- Future-Proofing: 401K program and comprehensive health insurance.
- Balance: Encouraged PTO and paid holidays to ensure you stay sharp.
