Summary

Data Engineer/ Mainframe Developer

Smithfield, RI

Onsite Hybrid

Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics required with +6 years' experience; Master's degree preferred

Solid experience in writing complex SQL queries on Oracle (PL/SQL)

Experience as a Mainframe Developer

Experience working with large data sets.

Experience with ETL strategies, design, and development.

Experience with resiliency and stability design principals, including Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Familiarity with large complex system design

Familiarity with distribution application design and development (Java, .NET, Python) would be a plus.

Shell scripting experience.

Linux environment experience.

Hand-on experience with performance optimization and tunning approaches, SQL tuning.

Knowledge on CD process and tools and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory etc.)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Outstanding verbal and written communications skills and comfortable in summarizing technical information.

Ability to collaborate with other developers and co-workers including distributed team members

Agile/Scrum experience or basic knowledge
