JAMS Automation Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using JAMS Scheduler and cloud technologies.
• Ensure reliable job execution, system performance, and continuous improvement of automation processes while supporting enterprise scheduling and orchestration environments.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services.
• Experience with JAMS Scheduler or similar enterprise scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integration development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation workflows.
• Create and maintain inventory of all JAMS Scheduler jobs.
• Monitor and maintain databases for performance and reliability.
• Create and manage Azure SQL Elastic Jobs for automation.
• Maintain incident tracking for JAMS job warnings and failures.
• Monitor job execution and proactively address issues.
• Investigate job failures and resolve or escalate as needed.
• Log and manage incidents through service desk processes.
• Install and update JAMS client tools and software.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for licensing and system updates.
• Participate in IT projects and deliver automation solutions.
• Build and maintain JAMS Enterprise Scheduler environments.
• Collaborate with application teams to define automation requirements.
• Develop integrations using REST APIs for data and reporting.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and runbook errors.

Skills:

• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.
• Azure services including Logic Apps and cloud databases.
• JSON scripting and REST API integration.
• JAMS Enterprise Scheduler and orchestration tools.
• System monitoring and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Azure or AWS certification preferred.

Experience:

• Experience working with JAMS Enterprise Manager preferred.
• Experience with Azure SQL databases including PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, or MongoDB required.
• Experience with Elastic Job Agent for Azure SQL preferred.
• Experience with System Center Orchestrator preferred.
