Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Test Lead / Data Testing Specialist to join our team in Boston, MA. This role focuses on data validation, quality assurance, and testing of modern data platforms, with strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT, and Spotfire.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data pipeline testing, MDM validation, and test automation, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data testing for pipelines, transformations, and integrations
• Validate data against business rules, requirements, and expected outputs
• Test and validate Snowflake and DBT data models and transformations
• Perform MDM data validation to ensure master data consistency across systems
• Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues and anomalies
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like DVS, Power Queries, and VBS
• Automate data comparisons between source and target systems
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Create and maintain test cases, reports, and documentation
• Utilize Tableau / Power BI for data validation and reporting
• Manage version control using Git / Bitbucket
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and track work via JIRA and Confluence
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and data quality

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Data Testing / Data QA / ETL Testing
• Hands-on expertise in Snowflake and DBT (DBT is mandatory)
• Experience with Spotfire (highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
• Experience in data profiling, validation, and reconciliation
• Proficiency with test automation tools (DVS, Power Queries, VBS)
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for validation/reporting
• Hands-on with Git / Bitbucket
• Experience working in Agile environments (JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks
• Prior experience in enterprise data environments

Nice to Have

• Experience leading data testing teams or acting as Test Lead
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with business stakeholders
