Job Title: Information Security Architect
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Information Security Architect to join our client and support the advancement of enterprise security initiatives across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. This contract, remote position offers the opportunity to guide secure design practices, influence technology decisions, and reduce organizational risk. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive secure development standards and ensure alignment with industry best practices. This role is ideal for experienced security professionals who enjoy both hands-on analysis and strategic advisory work.
Compensation:
$50/hr
Work Schedule:
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST/CST
Key Responsibilities of the Information Security Architect:

• Define and maintain security requirements for systems, applications, and cloud services
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to embed secure design principles into solution planning
• Validate control implementations, including encryption, access management, and common application security safeguards
• Perform security risk assessments and architecture reviews across multiple domains
• Support secure SDLC efforts, including code analysis, testing practices, and documentation

Qualifications and Skills for the Information Security Architect:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
• 10–15 years of IT and/or security experience with strong architectural understanding
• Expertise in cloud security and secure software development practices
• Working knowledge of control frameworks such as NIST, ISO, PCI, GDPR, or HITRUST
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, AZ?500
