Process Safety Engineer - Frankfort, IN

As the Total Process Safety Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of leading change; leveraging your technical expertise and exceptional team-building capabilities to engage our diverse workforce you will own the implementation and advancement of the Total Process Safety (TPS) program, ensuring compliance with corporate and local standards and regulations.
This role will be based onsite at the ADM Frankfort manufacturing plant and reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, implement, and manage, the Total Process Safety program for the facility.
  • Coordinate process safety activities.
  • Lead the TPS Committee.
  • Establish a safety-focused culture and mindset through training, continuous process improvements, and strategies focused on risk reduction and incident prevention.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report process safety performance at the facility and work collaboratively with leadership and the TPS Technology Team to develop and implement TPS programs and goals.
  • Lead or participate in local Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and related action plans in collaboration with the Global Process Hazard Analysis Manager.
  • Prepare and share communications on Safety Alerts and Best Practices and Lead/Facilitate local TPS incident investigations.
  • Act as the Process Safety Reviewer on Management of Change (MOC) requests for the facility.
  • Act as the facility's TPS Representative on Improvement projects and Capital Investment projects.
  • Develop and Facilitate TPS training programs to various teams, plant leadership and engineers within the facility.
  • Participate in PSM and TPS Audits; conduct or lead self-assessments for the facility.
  • Organize, audit and maintain technical process safety documentation.
  • Act as the facility's Fire Protection System (FPS) Coordinator.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, and Agricultural Engineering)
  • 2+ years of process safety experience preferably in a chemical manufacturing or agricultural processing facility
  • Robust experience in applying the 14 elements of PSM
  • Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach
  • Strong leadership, change management and project/program management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicator
  • A drive for success, a continuous improvement approach, a consistently positive attitude and outlook
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to bridge cross-cultural boundaries
  • Must be able to accomplish results by working effectively with others and be willing and able to work in plant areas (i.e. walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spaces) to understand and monitor the process.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changing requirements and be capable of working in hot and cold temperatures.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
