Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Boomi Integration Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity. As an independent platform, Boomi remains at the forefront of the iPaaS market, and we need a specialist who can leverage its full suite of tools—including newer event-driven features—to connect our enterprise ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
● Process Design: Build and maintain end-to-end integration workflows using the Boomi Enterprise Platform.
● Messaging & Queues: Architect asynchronous data flows using Boomi Queues to ensure message durability and system decoupling.
● API Development: Design and manage REST and SOAP web services; implement robust security and error-handling protocols.
● Event-Driven Architecture: Lead the implementation of real-time data synchronization. Familiarity with Boomi Streams is a major plus for our future roadmap.
● Testing & Support: Conduct unit/integration testing and provide tier-3 support for production integration issues.
Required Technical Skills
● Boomi Experience: 3+ years of professional experience with the Boomi platform (Integration and API Management modules).
● Web Services: Expert-level knowledge of REST (JSON) and SOAP (XML/WSDL).
● Queuing: Proven track record of using Boomi Queues (or external brokers like RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ) for high-volume data processing.
● Data Transformation: Proficiency in Boomi Mapping, Document Caching, and Groovy or JavaScript for custom scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
● Streams: Hands-on experience or conceptual knowledge of Boomi Streams for event-based processing.
● Certifications: Boomi Professional Developer or Integration Architect certifications.
● Regional Presence: Ability to commute to our Middletown, Rhode Island office on n a hybrid schedule.
