Position Overview: Citadel Security USA is bringing on unarmed officers to help cover a range of events across the Denver area. These assignments vary in size and pace-some are steady and controlled, others can get busy quickly-so being able to adjust on the fly is important.
This role is hands-on and people-facing. You'll spend most of your time moving through event spaces, interacting with guests, and making sure things stay organized and safe. It's not just about presence-it's about paying attention, communicating clearly, and stepping in when something needs to be addressed.
Key Responsibilities: - Be present and visible throughout the venue to help deter issues before they start
- Walk the event space regularly, keeping an eye on crowd flow and activity
- Check bags and manage entry points based on event guidelines
- Address rule violations in a calm, respectful way
- Watch for anything that could turn into a safety concern and act early when possible
- Respond to situations as they come up and involve supervisors when needed
- Help maintain a setting where guests, staff, and vendors feel comfortable
- Jot down basic notes if something out of the ordinary happens
Required Qualifications: - Clear communication and a steady approach when dealing with the public
- Ability to stay composed in crowded or fast-moving environments
- Willingness to follow site instructions and event-specific guidelines
- Reliable way to get to different event locations around the area
- Must meet Colorado requirements for unarmed security work
Preferred Qualifications: - Background in event security or similar roles
- Familiarity with access control, bag checks, or crowd management
- Holding a Colorado Guard Card, or being able to obtain one
