Senior Full Stack Software Engineer – Google Cloud Platform | React | Python/Node.js | AI Workflow Applications

This role is ideal for engineers with strong Google Cloud Platform experience who are comfortable owning application architecture, full-stack development, cloud deployment, API integrations, and workflow automation.

This is NOT a traditional Java Developer, Front-End Developer, DevOps Engineer, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, QA Engineer, or Support Engineer position. We are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer who can build and own business-critical cloud applications from end to end.

Candidates with healthcare technology or intelligent document processing experience will receive strong consideration.

Position Overview

Secondwave Delivery Systems is expanding its internal engineering team to build cloud-native applications that improve healthcare operations through workflow automation, document intelligence, AI-assisted review, and operational tooling.

You will partner directly with business leaders to transform operational processes into secure, scalable applications running on Google Cloud Platform. This position requires someone who enjoys solving business problems through software, taking ownership of technical decisions, and delivering production-ready solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of Full Stack Software Engineering experience
• Strong Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience including:

• Cloud Run
• Cloud Functions
• IAM
• Cloud Storage
• Deployment and Logging
  • Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs
  • Python and/or Node.js development
  • TypeScript
  • React or another modern JavaScript framework
  • SQL and relational database design
  • Cloud-native application architecture
  • Secure application development
  • Authentication and Authorization
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Audit logging and security controls
  • Experience converting prototypes or AI-generated code into maintainable production software
  • Experience working independently with minimal oversight

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native workflow applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Build scalable full-stack applications supporting healthcare operational workflows
• Develop secure APIs and integrate applications with internal and third-party systems
• Build workflow automation that improves operational efficiency
• Design document processing pipelines using OCR and intelligent document technologies
• Enhance PDF generation, merging, extraction, and document delivery solutions
• Build AI-assisted workflow applications supporting clinical and operational teams
• Refactor proof-of-concept and AI-generated applications into enterprise-quality software
• Implement authentication, authorization, auditing, and role-based access controls
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into software solutions
• Improve application reliability, maintainability, scalability, and usability
• Support cloud deployments, monitoring, and ongoing production enhancements
