Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Collibra Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data governance solutions using the Collibra platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in Collibra workflows, integrations, and metadata management, along with the ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Collibra workflows using Groovy scripting
- Build and manage Collibra integrations using REST APIs
- Leverage Collibra APIs to automate governance processes
- Design and implement integrations with external tools (e.g., Alation, data quality tools)
- Develop and enhance Collibra metamodel and operating model
- Establish and maintain Business Glossary and Data Dictionary
- Connect and integrate multiple data sources with Collibra
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather and translate metadata requirements into solutions
- Analyze issues, troubleshoot, and provide effective solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Collibra workflow development
- Strong experience with Collibra REST APIs and integrations
- Proficiency in Groovy scripting
- Solid understanding of databases, data warehousing, and SQL
- Experience designing integrations between Collibra and other platforms
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance and Metadata Management concepts
- Proven experience in Collibra architecture/design/development (not just end-user experience)
- Experience working with stakeholders to define metadata use cases
- Ability to articulate solutions and translate business needs into technical designs
- Experience creating and managing Collibra Operating Model
- Experience enhancing Collibra Metamodel
- Familiarity with Alation and other data governance tools
- Collibra Ranger Certification preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
