Project Manager

Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Richmond, VA
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Standard 2 days onsite; 100% remote may be considered for exceptional candidates with proven performance).
• Interview Mode: Initial Virtual/Webcam; manager reserves the right to request a follow-up In-Person interview.
• Shift: Monday Friday, EST.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Governance

• Drive consistent delivery through the entire lifecycle, including definition of project plans, resource allocation, and management of risk, scope, and schedule.
• Adhere to strict agency and VITA project management practices and governance requirements.
• Coordinate the scoping and technical requirements gathering for single or multiple work-streams.

Vendor & Procurement Management

• Partner with procurement to oversee the development of proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), and RFP responses.
• Monitor progress of third-party vendors, defining and measuring success through clear metrics.
• Coordinate vendors, consultants, and internal staff to ensure timely delivery of lab analyzer implementations.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams in the development of goals, policies, and procedures.
• Manage working relationships with executive management, project sponsors, and technology leads.
• Hold teams accountable for commitments while removing roadblocks to ensure deadline compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare Industry: Demonstrated success managing projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (Highly Desired).
• Lab Systems: Specific experience with clinical laboratory equipment or medical device integration.
• Analytical Expertise: Strong ability to analyze complex problems and make sound decisions under high-pressure scenarios.
