C3 AI is seeking an accomplished AI Engagement Director to lead all aspects of the post-sales delivery model - spanning application implementation, platform software development, and customer success. This is an individual contributor role that places you at the center of C3 AI's most strategic customer relationships.

As the primary point of contact for one or more enterprise accounts, you will lead joint C3 AI/Customer cross-functional teams through the full engagement lifecycle - from initial planning and design through implementation and post-go-live success. You will bridge the technical and business domains, translating complex use cases into actionable requirements while building lasting trust with executive stakeholders and technical teams alike.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for one or more of C3 AI's most strategic enterprise customers.
  • Lead joint C3 AI/Customer cross-functional teams through planning, design, implementation, and post-go-live phases.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to define scope, requirements, implementation timelines, and measurable success metrics for each use case.
  • Partner with C3 AI Product and Sales teams to craft compelling use cases and translate them into clear technical requirements and specifications.
  • Develop polished deliverables, documentation, and executive communications to enable and sustain customer success.
  • Run end-to-end project governance activities including project plans, weekly status reviews, cross-functional working sessions, and executive steering committee presentations.
  • Manage and supervise dedicated C3 AI team members spanning Application Development, Data Integration, Data Science, Product, QA, and DevOps.
  • Track, anticipate, and proactively mitigate risks before they escalate into issues; manage resolution when issues arise.
  • Dive into technical details as needed to ensure successful delivery - including application and data integration testing, training delivery, and issue debugging.
  • Grow the C3 AI footprint at your accounts by identifying incremental use cases and engaging stakeholders on new opportunities.
  • Contribute to team-wide growth by helping recruit and attract top-tier talent to the C3 AI services organization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on enterprise software delivery and professional services engagements.
  • Minimum of 10 years in engagement management or client-facing program leadership roles within enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Demonstrated success navigating both the business and technical dimensions of enterprise software implementation projects, providing leadership across both domains.
  • Proven ability to work across customer and internal teams to problem-solve, define scope, author technical requirements, and deliver against a plan.
  • Track record of building trusted advisor relationships with senior executive stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise application development, predictive analytics, and/or middleware integration is highly valued.
  • Ability to define, track, and communicate value metrics and KPIs that align AI implementation outcomes to business objectives.
  • Comfort working at the intersection of technical delivery and executive communication - translating complex technical realities into clear business narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience in one or more of the following domains: manufacturing, supply chain optimization, telecommunications, life sciences, or financial services.
  • Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills; comfortable owning the room in both boardroom and technical settings.

California Base Pay Range

$181,000-$238,000 USD
