You will develop reusable UI components, patterns, and design standards that promote consistency and maintainability across the program, build and refine interactive prototypes and proof-of-concept interfaces to validate concepts with stakeholders, and partner with software engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently. You will evaluate existing interfaces and identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and responsiveness, collaborate with test engineers to validate UI functionality and user workflows, contribute to technical discussions to establish UI/UX engineering best practices, and participate in Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Development of modern web-based user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with Python in a UI or full-stack development context
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Django
  • Responsive design, component-based development, and modern front-end engineering practices
  • Translating complex requirements and user workflows into interface solutions
  • Agile/Scrum or SAFe development environment participation
  • CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins; Agile collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS (C2S or GovCloud) and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and government system accreditation processes such as RMF and STIGs

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with React and TypeScript and modern front-end development tooling
  • Developing or consuming RESTful APIs and integrating UI applications with backend services
  • Design systems, reusable component libraries, and UI standards
  • UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG
  • Dashboards, data visualization, geospatial information displays, maps, or highly interactive mission interfaces
  • Automated UI testing using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
  • Experience working on applications involving intelligence workflows, complex data visualization, or mission systems
  • Technical mentorship and leadership within a multidisciplinary Agile team

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree in a related field
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
  • U.S. citizenship required
