Job#: 3018380 Job Description: Product Owner - Medicare Initiatives (Wellness Organization)We are seeking a
highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner with exceptional communication skills to lead requirements discovery for key Medicare initiatives within our Wellness organization. This role serves as the bridge between business and technology teams, translating complex healthcare concepts into actionable requirements for engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, architects, SMEs, engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams.
- Lead end-to-end requirements discovery, including stakeholder interviews, workflow mapping, gap analysis, and system documentation.
- Translate complex Medicare/Medicaid and healthcare operations processes into clear user stories, business use cases, acceptance criteria, workflows, and system requirements.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog; ensure alignment with business goals and readiness for development.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-team coordination to remove roadblocks and ensure timely delivery.
- Evaluate current-state systems, document dependencies, and define future-state capabilities in collaboration with product managers and engineering leads.
- Communicate requirements, updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with compliance, operations, clinical, and analytics teams to ensure regulatory alignment with CMS, Medicare, and Medicaid program rules.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Systems Analyst in healthcare, preferably with Medicare/Medicaid, claims, or eligibility systems.
- Hands-on experience documenting legacy system behavior and defining product requirements.
- Strong facilitation, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
