Database Engineer - CockroachDB, Hybrid
We have an immediate need for an experienced Senior CockroachDB Database Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in distributed databases, CockroachDB administration, cloud infrastructure, and reliability engineering to design, implement, manage, and optimize highly available database platforms.
This is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA for a candidate with strong experience in CockroachDB Administration, Distributed SQL Databases, Database Cluster Management, Database Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Backup and Recovery, Replication, Disaster Recovery, High Availability Architecture, Capacity Planning, Database Security, Linux/Unix Administration, Python, Shell Scripting, Go, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD Automation, Kubernetes, Containerized Deployments, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk, Monitoring, Logging, Alerting, Observability, Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Error Budgets, and Reliability Engineering.
