Our client is seeking a Lead Engineer with deep expertise in .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure. You will lead backend-focused initiatives to build scalable, cloud-native applications and drive Azure migration work in an AI-enhanced development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor others while delivering production-grade software and tests.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using .NET, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Architect and execute Azure migration strategies including re-platforming and modernization.
  • Build and optimize cloud-native solutions using Azure services such as AKS, Cosmos DB, App Services, and Functions.
  • Operate in an AI-driven SDLC, translating stakeholder inputs into specifications with AI copilots.
  • Collaborate with generative AI to iterate on user flows, interfaces, and architectures.
  • Pair program with AI tools to write, refactor, and test code in real time.
  • Deliver production-grade code and testing practices suitable for financial services.
  • Implement intelligent testing frameworks that auto-generate test cases and predict defects.
  • Leverage code assistants to navigate large codebases and implement improvements.
  • Write automated tests concurrently with code to support CI/CD and API testing.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in cloud engineering and AI-assisted development.

Experience Requirements:
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on .NET and C#.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and database design.
  • Proven experience with Azure migration and cloud-native application development.
  • Familiarity with AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
  • Experience with automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with AI-enhanced workflows.
  • Preferred: Microservices architecture, containers, and orchestration.
  • Preferred: Production-grade code practices with full automation and continuous delivery.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Azure DevOps and related Azure tools.
  • Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML concepts and tools.
  • Preferred: Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.
  • Preferred: Technical lead experience and collaboration with offshore teams.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with CNCF projects.
