As a Senior Wet Process and CMP Leader, you will be responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing Wet Process and CMP operations to support new product introduction and ongoing manufacturing excellence in Boise. You will drive improvements in process stability, yield, quality, and productivity while leading teams through complex technical challenges. Your work will directly influence the successful production of high-quality semiconductor components that enable Micron's technology roadmap.
We're looking for someone who thrives in hands-on engineering environments, values strong teamwork, and is excited to dive deep into Wet Process and CMP technologies in a fast-paced, evolving semiconductor landscape.
Job Responsibilities:- Ensure all work is performed safely and in full compliance with Micron safety policies while fostering a positive work environment.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of process engineers, providing regular feedback and supporting career growth.
- Establish and maintain a best-in-class HVM DRAM Wet/CMP area with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Technology Development, Manufacturing, and global teams to qualify new facilities, transfer processes, and drive alignment on yield and quality improvements.
- Drive supplier engagement and accountability to develop and sustain process and equipment solutions aligned to Micron's technology roadmap, while maintaining strict adherence to IP protection standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications:- Extensive semiconductor experience (10+ years), ideally in HVM, TD, or operations-based teams.
- Deep expertise in Wet Process and/or CMP, including process engineering and transfer; Wet Etch at Micron covers vapor etch, dry strip, dry bevel etch, plating, bath, and spin processes.
- Strong supplier management skills, including handling vendors and implementing accountability programs.
- Proven leadership and communication abilities, with excellent coaching, mentoring, and verbal/written skills.
- Ability to build team culture aligned with company core values and solid understanding of manufacturing structures, standards, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with equivalent experience.
- Proven experience leading process engineering team in an HVM/TD facility (5+ years). TD background with a penchant to be in HVM will also be considered.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership in driving collaboration between different teams.
