Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP BTP Consultant to design, develop, and support SAP applications leveraging ABAP on SAP BTP, S/4HANA, and modern SAP extensibility concepts. The role involves building cloud-ready ABAP solutions, integrating SAP and non-SAP systems, and enabling clean-core compliant extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Key Responsibilities
Over 10+ years of SAP programming experience
Design, develop, and enhance ABAP applications on SAP BTP (ABAP Environment / Steampunk)
Develop S/4HANA extensions following clean core principles
Build and maintain RAP-based services, CDS views, and OData services
Work on side-by-side and in-app extensions using BTP
Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite, APIs, and events
Optimize and refactor legacy ABAP code for S/4HANA compatibility
Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders
Ensure performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based solutions
Support testing, deployment, and production issues
Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in ABAP (OO ABAP mandatory)
Experience with SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk)
Solid knowledge of S/4HANA architecture and extensibility
Hands-on experience with:
CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption)
RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
OData Services
Understanding of Clean Core principles
Experience with SAP BTP services (Destinations, Connectivity, Security)
Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite / CP
