Our client is a global investment management firm based in a modern office on the Chicago River. They specialize in managing a diverse range of financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and institutional SMAs. The firm is currently expanding its Chicago operations and requires a process-driven professional to manage the high-volume production of investment collateral and regulatory reporting.
This role functions as a hybrid between marketing operations and data analysis. As a Marketing Data & Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for the accuracy and lifecycle of quarterly fact sheets and commentaries. You will not be creating creative content or managing email campaigns; instead, you will focus on data quality, system management, and cross-functional coordination between IT, performance teams, and compliance. This position is essential for ensuring that all public-facing financial data is accurate and meets strict regulatory requirements.
Requirements - Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in a data-centric marketing, operations, or analyst role, preferably within financial services.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in web-based data systems and PDF management; specific experience with Seismic is highly preferred.
- Financial Literacy: Fundamental understanding of investment vehicles (ETFs, Mutual Funds) and credit quality concepts (e.g., AAA vs. BBB bonds).
- Location: Must be able to work on-site in the Chicago office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities - Data Validation: Execute rigorous quality checks on 300+ pieces of quarterly collateral, comparing new data sets against previous releases for absolute accuracy.
- System Management: Oversee the end-to-end production of fact sheets and commentaries by collecting data from providers and processing it through internal PDF-generation systems.
- Compliance Liaison: Coordinate directly with Compliance and Media Approval teams to secure internal approvals and address FINRA comment letters.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary operational link between Product Marketing, IT, and Performance teams during product launches and portfolio changes.
Compensation and Culture This position offers a pay rate of up to
$35/hour on a contract basis through the end of the year, with potential for extension. The role is based in a premier Chicago office space and follows a hybrid schedule. The environment is professional and structured, focusing on internal stakeholders and high-precision reporting rather than consumer-facing creative marketing.
