Product Manager

Location: Plano, Texas (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to contribute to our Data Services Platform, which enables vehicle-to-cloud communication and provides data products to various customers. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable development tasks, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful delivery of features for the Mobility development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements and technical specifications into clear epics and user stories for the development team.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog and roadmap to align with customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Lead design discussions and collaborate daily with the agile team, clarifying details and providing strategic direction.
  • Work with the technical delivery lead on release planning and provide status reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clearly ordered for the scrum team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business, quality, and functional goals with each release.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensure all internal documentation is maintained and accessible to technical teams.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Project Manager.
  • 2+ years of experience operating in a SaaS environment with a conceptual understanding of databases, cloud computing, software development, and security.


Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and services such as Lambda, S3, Dynamo, RDS, and Kinesis.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Jira, Confluence, and diagramming software like Lucidchart or Visio.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a development or DevOps role.
  • Demonstrated interest in Japanese language or culture.
Compensation

The pay rate for this position is between $70.00 and $75.00 per hour.
