We have an immediate opportunity for a SCADA Developer (OT Developer) to join a leading global life sciences and technology organization supporting advanced R&D environments. This role is based in Bedford, MA in a hybrid setup and focuses on designing, developing, and implementing industrial control systems and Operational Technology (OT) solutions aligned with GAMP 5 guidelines and GxP compliance standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and stakeholders in an Agile/Nexus framework to deliver high-quality automation and digital solutions. Responsibilities include developing PLC programs, building SCADA/HMI applications, enabling real-time data exchange using industrial communication protocols, and supporting validation documentation and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be an experienced OT professional with strong hands-on expertise in industrial automation technologies, including PLC programming and SCADA development within regulated environments. The candidate should have 8 10 years of experience working with tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Ignition, or Aveva System Platform, along with proficiency in programming languages like STL, FBD, and Ladder Logic. Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC DA/UA, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP is required. Experience with DCS systems (Delta-V or Siemens PCS), MS SQL Server, and .NET framework is expected, along with exposure to UI design and system integration. Additional strengths such as experience with REST APIs, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, ISA-88/95 standards, and monitoring tools like Prometheus will be highly valued.
