POSITION SUMMARY:The Electrical Engineer I/II supports the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems for marine products. This role focuses on executing engineering and design tasks, developing technical skills, and contributing to product development and manufacturing processes under guidance from senior team members. The position partners with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Supports the design and documentation of electrical systems including wiring, schematics, and harness assemblies for new and existing products.
- Assists in developing electrical system layouts and components to meet performance and regulatory requirements.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to support product development and production needs.
- Assists in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts related to product design, manufacturability, and quality.
- Learns and applies industry standards, tools, and best practices in electrical engineering.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum Degree Required: Associate Degree
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (if applicable)
- Years of experience: 0-4 years of relevant experience
- Internship or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing preferred
- Exposure to CAD or electrical design tools preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles including circuits and power distribution.
- Basic knowledge of CAD or electrical design software.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:- Up to 20%. Occasional travel to manufacturing sites, test facilities, supplier locations, and marine test environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly sits and works on a computer.
Occasionally stands, walks, and lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
