Position Summary

The Software Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and hands-on oversight for the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise software solutions. This role serves as the bridge between business objectives and technology execution, ensuring that applications are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Software Technical Lead partners closely with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to drive solution design, establish development best practices, and ensure successful project delivery. In addition to leading technical design and development efforts, the role mentors engineers, reviews code quality, manages technical risks, and promotes continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional IT experience.
  • 8+ years of .NET experience, including ASP.NET, MVC, Webforms, and C# or VB.NET.
  • 8+ years software development and requirement analysis, design experience.
  • 5+ years of development experience for projects delivered via Agile, Waterfall and/or SAFe methodologies.
  • Proven experience as technical SME (with domain knowledge) in understanding business requirements and translating into software solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with proficiency in .NET, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems, proficiency in object-oriented programming various design and architectural patterns, concurrency patterns, reusable libraries.
  • 3+ years of .NET Core including Web API, Entity Framework, DI.
  • 3+ years of JSON and XML.
  • 3+ years of JavaScript Frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
  • Solid experience with Visual Studio, .NET, TFS, and PL/SQL development is required.
  • Knowledge of API design patterns (REST - XML, JSON) is required.
  • MCP, MCDBA, MCAD, MCSD certifications are a plus.
  • A track record of writing clean, high quality, high performing, scalable code.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Micro services architecture.
  • Good knowledge on Azure cloud.
  • Working experience of CI/CD pipeline, GIT, or Jenkins.
  • Experience in web security.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
