Business Analyst - Clinical

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Data Strategy initiative for a global Life Sciences organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Analysis, Data Strategy, Data Governance, and Data Warehousing, with experience working in Life Sciences and GxP-regulated environments.

Job Description

• Partner with Business Process Owners and Project Managers to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Lead current state and future state analysis for data strategy and data warehousing initiatives.
• Analyze complex clinical datasets, including Clinical Trials, Clinical Operations, and Real-World Evidence (RWE) data.
• Create and maintain User Requirements (URS), Functional Requirements (FRS), data flows, data lineage, and traceability documentation.
• Define business requirements for data models, reporting layers, semantic models, and data products.
• Collaborate with Validation teams to ensure requirements are testable and release-ready.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Work closely with Data Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Provide regular project status updates, identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Support Data Governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with GxP, HIPAA, Google Cloud Platform, and organizational standards.

Preferred Skills

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Transformation, or Data Warehousing.
• Strong understanding of SQL, Data Models, ETL, Data Pipelines, Data Lineage, and Data Mapping.
• Experience with Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory, or Life Sciences domains.
• Knowledge of GxP Validation, HIPAA, Google Cloud Platform, Data Quality, and Data Stewardship.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
• Python experience for data analysis and validation is a plus.
