Data Engineer II

Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer II to join a high-performing data and analytics team focused on building and supporting scalable cloud-based data solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data platforms, and analytical solutions that enable efficient collection, transformation, storage, and analysis of enterprise data.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments, building modern data architectures, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand current and future data requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and support enterprise data solutions including data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Develop data models that support reporting, analytics, and advanced business intelligence initiatives.
  • Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ensure high-quality, accessible, and trusted data.
  • Develop scripts, automation tools, and reusable frameworks to streamline data engineering activities.
  • Monitor data platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Support data ingestion, data wrangling, transformation, and loading activities into Google BigQuery.
  • Design and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and database objects to support enterprise applications and analytics.
  • Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to support solutions utilizing QlikView and other reporting platforms.
  • Build and support cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud services and modern data technologies.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including planning, design reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, transformation, and BigQuery data management.
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with:

    • Stored Procedures & Triggers

  • Knowledge of Agentic AI concepts, including:

    • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Experience integrating AI tools into the software development lifecycle for code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Google AI services including:
    • Vertex AI
    • Gemini Models
    • Google AI APIs
