Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of complex technical infrastructure projects. The role will be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, technical teams, vendors, risks, and stakeholders while ensuring that infrastructure solutions meet business, technical, security, quality, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, project management methodologies, technical architecture, and cross-functional team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical infrastructure projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resource plans, and delivery strategies.
- Manage infrastructure projects involving servers, networks, cloud platforms, data centers, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and enterprise systems.
- Coordinate with infrastructure engineers, architects, developers, security teams, operations teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical project objectives and deliverables.
- Manage project scope, requirements, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.
- Monitor project progress, technical deliverables, costs, quality, and timelines.
- Ensure technical solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Manage third-party vendors, contractors, service providers, procurement activities, and technical contracts.
- Coordinate infrastructure deployment, migration, upgrades, integrations, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to senior management.
- Manage incident, issue, and escalation processes during project implementation.
- Coordinate change management and ensure proper approvals before production implementation.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and operational handover to support and infrastructure teams.
- Conduct project reviews and lessons-learned sessions after project completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, securely, on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in technical infrastructure or IT project management.
- Strong experience managing complex infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure architecture, networking, servers, cloud, security, and data center technologies.
- Experience managing technical teams and multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and governance.
- Experience with project planning and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, risk management, vendor management, and change management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
