System Administrator

Overview
The client is seeking a System Administrator to manage and support Microsoft-based infrastructure across on-premises, virtual, and cloud platforms. The candidate will serve as Tier III escalation for complex systems issues and must have strong expertise in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.

• Key Responsibilities
  Administer, monitor, and support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure (servers, workstations, mobile devices) across on-prem, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Manage and secure Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 services, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with security best practices.
• Automate administrative tasks using advanced scripting (PowerShell, etc.) and implement system improvements.
• Act as Tier III escalation for complex systems issues.
• Maintain a security-first mindset across all infrastructure and operational decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years administering Microsoft servers (Windows Server 2016/2019, including web and SQL servers) in a Hyper-V enterprise environment.
• 3+ years managing Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
• 3+ years administering Office 365 in an enterprise environment.
• 2+ years automating tasks using advanced scripting (PowerShell, Python, Perl, VBScript).
• 1+ year experience with Microsoft cloud-based security solutions (Azure/Intune).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments with endpoint management (SCCM/Intune).
• SQL Server administration (migrations, upgrades, performance tuning).
• Experience coordinating with vendor support.
• Experience maintaining modern SAN/storage solutions.
• Background in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
