IT Tech Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Tech Lead in Tampa, FL.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide technical direction, establish development standards, and mentor a team of software engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong hands-on development expertise with proven leadership experience and the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead development teams by establishing technical standards, best practices, and architectural direction
* Partner with architects and stakeholders to design scalable, cloud-based solutions
* Ensure development teams remain aligned on technical priorities, quality standards, and delivery objectives
* Mentor developers, conduct technical reviews, and support troubleshooting complex issues
* Identify risks, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Contribute to Agile planning, backlog refinement, and technical roadmap discussions

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of software development experience with prior Technical Lead or Engineering Lead experience
* Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, and AWS Cloud technologies
* Experience designing enterprise applications, APIs, and modern cloud-native solutions
* Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and software development best practices
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to lead and influence development teams, including distributed or offshore resources

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or GitLab
* Exposure to enterprise ERP integrations and large-scale digital transformation initiatives

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
