Lead Data Engineer with Google Cloud Platform (Big Query) Exp-Full time-Remote

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, and modern data engineering tools. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, transformation frameworks, and cloud-native data solutions. This role requires hands-on development experience along with the ability to guide best practices in data architecture and orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and PL/SQL.

• Build and manage data transformation workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).

• Develop and optimize data models in BigQuery for analytical and reporting use cases.

• Orchestrate workflows using Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar tools.

• Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services.

• Develop ingestion frameworks using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, SFTP, and other connectors.

• Implement incremental loading, partitioning, and performance tuning strategies in BigQuery.

• Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems and external sources.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, product, and business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python (pandas, NumPy, ETL scripting).

• Strong expertise in PL/SQL for data transformation and persistence layer development.

• Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation.

• Expertise in BigQuery including query optimization and partitioning strategies.

• Experience with Airflow and/or Cloud Composer for orchestration.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

• Strong understanding of batch and streaming data pipelines.

• Experience integrating data from multiple sources and APIs.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Dataflow.

• Familiarity with Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.

• Knowledge of householding and data segmentation logic.

• Experience working with MDM systems (e.g., Reltio).

• Experience with Falcon or similar database connectivity tools.

• Understanding of data governance and metadata documentation.
