Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Transportation Management Solution (TMS) Architect to shape and lead the delivery of integrated transportation capabilities across our organization. In this role, you will translate business priorities into scalable, future ready solutions that strengthen our logistics network and support our strategic objectives. Success requires strong architectural leadership, deep multi modal transportation expertise, and a practical understanding of the operational realities within industries such as Agriculture and Oil & Gas. Key Responsibilities End to End Architecture Design and govern transportation capabilities across planning, execution, and settlement to ensure operational continuity and business alignment. Champion the use of data and analytics to support effective decision making. System & Solution Design Develop clear and accurate architectural deliverables, including system landscapes, integration flows, and process documentation. Own integration architecture for transportation (APIs/events/EDI, error handling, and monitoring/alerts) across technologies and external partners. Define technical standards that drive consistency and long term maintainability. Strategic & Modal Expertise Serve as a subject matter expert in multi modal transportation, with strong command of Rail, Truck, Barge, Vessel & Container operations. Offer strategic insights to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and advance enterprise transportation objectives. Cross Functional Partnership Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align solution designs with the broader enterprise roadmap. Provide architectural leadership across initiatives, ensuring solutions scale and integrate effectively. Lead architect working sessions to translate transportation pain points into scalable solution designs and prioritize backlogs. Partner with transportation to define transportation data architecture and governance (locations, carriers' equipment, lanes, rates) to improve data quality and reduce execution/settlement defects. Define technical onboarding and interface specifications with carriers and visibility providers (data contracts, SLAs, exceptions handling) to ensure reliable integrations. Clear Technical Communication Deliver concise, stakeholder friendly documentation that supports alignment, decision making, and implementation readiness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications 12+ years of recent end to end TMS implementation experience, with strong background in supply chain planning and solution architecture. 5+ years leading cross functional teams and enterprise level initiatives. Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decision making. Demonstrated data literacy, including understanding of business use cases, data sources, and analytical approaches. Strong prioritization, problem solving, communication, and project leadership skills. Proven ability to operate in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with a high level of accuracy and accountability. Technical & Industry Expertise SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM): Deep, hands on experience required. Additional Platforms: Experience with Motive, Mastery, or SAP LeanIX preferred. Nice to have: Experience or exposure to Tratics, Telegraph, Kaleris, & Fourkites (or similar visibility app providers). SAP Integration Specialist: Must have a very solid background in SAP Integration using SAP BTP-CPI (Cloud Integration). Candidate should be an expert at connecting SAP S/4HANA with 3rd party systems. SAP Ecosystem & Cross-Module Integration: Beyond standalone TMS, you must possess expert-level knowledge of how SAP TM integrates with core enterprise modules. This includes SAP Sales & Distribution, SAP Materials Management, SAP CM (Commodity Management - ACM & IS Oil). Proven success supporting transportation functions within Agriculture and/or Oil & Gas. Nice to have exposure of Brazil localization requirements and processes. Omni-Channel Logistics Expertise: Proven experience architecting solutions for both Bulk Wholesale Shipments (high-volume commodities) and Retail Distribution (granular, high-frequency deliveries). Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $110.00/hr.
