Position Overview: The cloud network engineer will help develop and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for Cloud infrastructure. The candidate will bridge the gap between the traditional on-prem network infrastructure and the network infrastructure deployed in the public cloud. The primary focus of this individual is to work with the current team of engineers to develop a strategy around evolving our current cloud network deployment in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OCI and Microsoft Azure.
Project Overview: currently transitioning technology stacks from on-premise to Public Cloud and SAAS/PAAS providers. As part of their transition strategy. Looking for a partner to provide experienced resources to help bridge the Cloud Infrastructure and Security Development skill set gap and ramp to the required capacity. The primary goal is to realize cost savings and increased velocity for the Networking teams by taking a managed services approach.
Work environment: Complex and Collaborative. Migration of resources to cloud providers while maintaining critical system availability for business users.
Top Skills:
1. Experience implementing cloud connectivity solutions using AWS Direct Connect, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Interconnect, and Azure Express Route.
2. Proficient with network automation leveraging Python, Ansible, GitHub, JSON, Terraform, Rest APIs, and other network automation
3. Mandatory expertise in enterprise DNS architecture, operations, and troubleshooting across on premises and public cloud environments. This includes authoritative and recursive DNS design, DNS security controls, DNS-based traffic steering, and integration with cloud-native DNS services.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
? Experience in managing all cloud-native network technologies offered by AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OCI and Microsoft Azure using automation.
? Extensive knowledge and experience of interconnecting cloud regions as well as cloud to on-prem in a globally deployed network infrastructure.
? Extensive knowledge of cloud native network security techniques using AWS Security Groups, AWS NACLs, AWS Firewall Manager, AWS WAF, Google Cloud Platform VPC Service Controls, Google Cloud Platform VPC Firewalls, Azure Network Firewalls, and Azure Security Groups.
? Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance.
? Develop customized monitoring and alerting solutions.
? Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and constantly changing environment, while being able to set priorities and balance multiple deadlines.
? Experience with enterprise application delivery and load balancing platforms, specifically F5 BIG IP, including LTM configuration, traffic management, SSL/TLS offload, health monitoring, iRules, and integration with on premises and cloud-based application architectures. Experience operating and standardizing F5 load balancing services in hybrid and multi cloud environments is strongly preferred.
? Ability to work on a team or independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines. Knows how to escalate appropriately, efficiently, and effectively.
? Excellent analytical and organizational skills; able to manage a complex project independently, while functioning effectively under time constraints, established deadlines and within budget.
? Experience with enterprise DNS/IPAM platforms, specifically Infoblox, including Grid architecture, DNS and DHCP services, IP address management (IPAM), automation/integration with cloud platforms, and operational lifecycle management. Experience enforcing DNS and IPAM standards, supporting hybrid cloud integrations, and maintaining DNS/IPAM data accuracy at scale is strongly preferred.
