Summary

As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

Why Join Q2?

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology-and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our "Circle of Awesomeness" award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.

Q2 is seeking a Technical Product Manager on our Backend Services team. Working with the Product & Delivery Management Teams, the Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic and some tactical aspects of the roadmap for Q2's suite of Backend Services products. Your work will require broad cross-product collaboration and a deep technical focus - you'll be uncovering client, both internal and external, needs, accurately scoping effort, creating robust documentation, developing product delivery goals, working to drive down a large backlog and actively guiding architectural transformation. Think of yourself as the glue that ties together Q2's Online Banking platform: working with all the different parts of our organization to help us launch new products & integrations and evolve our existing ones so our clients can continue defining the cutting edge of banking. This position is demanding and fast paced, requiring a lot of initiative, self motivation and deep organizational skills. You will need to acquire deep product knowledge across Online Banking products, and oversee best practices for the backend services product even when the feature falls outside your domain.

If you are right for the position, you are...
  • Collaborative with architects and engineering leaders on modernization efforts, helping define roadmaps for service migrations, system scalability, and technical debt reduction
  • Able to engage effectively with engineers translating discussions about systems architecture, APIs, database schemas, and development frameworks into clear requirements
  • Highly determined and driven to achieve results with a clear track record of doing so
  • Able to manage many competing priorities, clearly communicate and context switch
  • Extremely organized and thoughtful about creating process to aide clarity for your team and roadmap
  • You approach business opportunities with an unwavering sense of optimism that brings positive energy to everyone they work with
  • Scrappy; quick to find the best path to a goal by collaborating with others
  • Takes initiative to learn and "help yourself", does not wait to be told what to do
  • An intuitive problem solver comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for data analysis
  • An effective communicator that can align internal and external stakeholders & build and influence cross-departmental work groups
